Novena Prayers for each day

November 29th (Day One)

Behold us at Your most holy feet, O Immaculate Virgin.  We greatly rejoice with You, who from all eternity were chosen to be the Mother of the Eternal Word and preserved from original sin.  We thank and bless the Most Holy Trinity, who has enriched You with these privileges at Your Conception.  We humbly implore You to grant us the grace to triumph over those sad effects that original sin has produced in us.  Grant that we may overcome them and never cease to love our God.

November 30th (Day Two)

O Immaculate Lily of purity, Virgin Mary, we congratulate You, who from the first instant of Your conception were enriched by grace and by the perfect use of reason.  We thank and adore the Most Holy Trinity who has lavished sublime gifts upon You, and we are confounded before You to see ourselves so poor in virtue.  Grant that our souls may also participate in that heavenly grace with which you so abound, and make us rich with the treasures of your Immaculate Conception.

December 1st (Day Three)

O Mystical Rose of purity, Mary Immaculate, we rejoice with You, who have gloriously triumphed over the devil, and who have been conceived without original sin.  We thank and praise with all our hearts the Most Holy Trinity, who has granted You such a privilege.  We implore You to obtain for us the strength to overcome every snare of the evil one and to stain our souls no more by sin.  Help us and grant that, with Your protection,  we may always be victorious over the common enemies of our salvation.

December 2nd (Day Four)

O Mirror of sanctity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, we delight in seeing that, from Your Conception, the most sublime virtues and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit have been infused into You.  We thank and praise the Most Holy Trinity, who has favoured You with these privileges, and we implore You O clement Mother, to obtain for us the practice of the virtues, thus rendering us worthy to receive the gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit.

December 3rd

O resplendent Dawn of beauty, Virgin Mary, we congratulate You on the mystery of Your Immaculate Conception, that was the beginning of salvation for all mankind and the jubilation of the whole world.  We thank and bless the Most Holy Trinity, who has thus magnified and glorified You.  We implore You to obtain for us the grace to know how to draw profit from the Passion and Death of Your Jesus, so that the Blood poured out from the Cross may not be in vain for us, but that we may live holy lives and save our souls.

December 4th

O Most splendid Star of light, Mary Immaculate, we rejoice with You because your Immaculate Conception has brought a very great joy to all the angels of Paradise.  We thank and bless the Most Holy Trinity who has enriched You with such a beautiful privilege.  Grant that one day we may enter and take part in this joy, and that in the company of the angels, we may praise and bless You for all eternity.

December 5th

O holy Temple of God, Mary Immaculate, we rejoice with You and we admire You because, at the moment of Your Conception, You were confirmed in grace and rendered faultless.  we thank and we exalt the Most Holy Trinity, who has distinguished You alone by this particular privilege.  Beseech for us, O holy Virgin, a total and continuous hatred of sin.  Grant that we may rather die than sin again.

December 6th

O spotless Sun, Virgin Mary, we congratulate You and we rejoice because in Your Conception God conferred upon You a greater and more abundant grace than on all the angels and saints together.  We thank and admire the incomparable generosity of the Most Holy Trinity, who has lavished this privilege upon You.  Grant that we may correspond to divine grace and never abuse it; that we may have a change of heart and that, from this moment on, we may amend our lives.

December 7th

O living Light of sanctity and model of purity, Immaculate Virgin and Mother Mary, as soon as You were conceived, You adored God profoundly and thanked Him, because by means of You the ancient curse was brought to an end, and instead there came the full blessing upon the children of Adam.

​

     Grant that this blessing may inflame our hearts with the love of God.  May You set them alight so that we may love Him constantly and then enjoy Him for all eternity in Paradise.  Amen.
